Kate's Caramel Brownies
Mix:
1 box Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup melted butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk
Place one half of this cake mixture in a greased 9x12 pan.
Bake for six minutes.
Heat and melt:
1/3 cup evaporated milk
50 wrapped caramels (no, you unwrap them first. . .)
Put on top of semi-cooked cake:
1 cup, or so, chocolate chips
Melted caramel mix
Plop remaining cake mix on top in patches.
Bake for 18 minutes in (preheated) 350-degree oven.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Cut and enjoy!!
